*NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:* The Code of Judicial Conduct governing behavior by judges forbids the Judges of the Fifth Judicial Circuit to discuss pending cases with the public. Please do not call the Court expecting to speak with a Judge about any case. The Court is only allowed to consider arguments made in the courtroom and in documents properly filed by actual parties in the case as authorized by law and the Rules of Court. The Court cannot ethically read or consider any other opinions or arguments about the case. Communications that do not meet these legal requirements cannot be forwarded to the Judges.

Judge Falvey’s Docket Assignments: 70% of all family law cases including adoptions, annulments, registrations of foreign judgments, registrations of foreign support, name changes, paternity (except IV-D cases), dissolutions and mmigage foreclosure cases.

Helpful Hints/Requirements

Family Law

  • Hearing dates and times are given telephonically not by email and must be coordinated with opposing counsel.
  • All motions must be filed prior to setting a hearing.
  • Proof of Service or Waiver of Service on emergency motions and all adoption proceedings must be filed with the Clerk of Court prior to the hearing.
  • Final Judgments and/or Orders with pro se litigants must be provided to me via Courthouse mailbox or via US Mail which should include self-addressed stamped envelopes and appropriate copies. Motions, Orders or Final Judgments over 5 pages will not be accepted via email.
  • Judge Falvey does not require a Motion and Order for telephonic appearances. You must make arrangements with the Judicial Assistant to appear telephonically.


  • Scheduling of a hearing in a foreclosure case can be accomplished by calling Mori Campea, Judicial Assistant at (352) 341-6717 or email at mcampea@circuit5.org.
  • All Final Judgment packages must be forwarded to the Clerk of Court ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
  • Counsel and parties are allowed to appear telephonically by calling Mori Campea at (352) 341-6717. No Motion and Order is required for telephonic appearances.
  • Judge Falvey typically does not hold Non-Jury Trials in foreclosure cases. A Case Management Conference will be held if a Notice of Trial has been received by our office. Follow the instructions above for scheduling a hearing.
