The Sumter County Family Court Case Management office provides assistance to self-represented litigants with general and procedural information on initial filing and modifications of domestic relations matters. We are unable to meet personally with self-represented litigants, but you may contact our office for general information and procedures.
Complete packets, forms and checklists may be purchased from the Sumter County Clerk of Court. There is a nominal fee charged for the packets purchased from the Clerk of Court. Filing fees for family court cases vary so check with the Clerk of Court for the fee schedule. Self-represented litigants go to the Clerk’s office on the 2nd floor to fill out and file their paperwork.
Once all documents are filed self-represented litigants can contact the office by phone or email.
The Family Court Case Management Office is prohibited from providing legal advice. Litigants are urged to consult with an attorney on their case.
