Emergency Management Hotline Number
Although facilities may be forced to close during hurricanes or other disasters, it is the goal of the Fifth Judicial Circuit to ensure that no person is deprived of access to the courts in the aftermath of an emergency event. Issues of personal safety, due process, and many other matters addressed each day in the courts will still need to be addressed in the immediate aftermath of an emergency.
If courthouses in the Fifth Judicial Circuit are forced to close because of a disaster, this page will be updated with explanations of how various court functions will be handled.
The updates will continue as long as conditions allow or until the emergency is over. Additionally, updates will be posted on our emergency management hotline. The Court(s) Emergency Hotline Number was established to assist in keeping the general public informed on the court(s) status in the event of an emergency or a pending emergency. The Emergency hotline is a recorded message that is updated frequently during times of emergency.
