Civil Case Management
Beginning July 1, 2015 the Fifth Judicial Circuit will be participating in a local Foreclosure Backlog Reduction Initiative in an effort to reduce the backlog of pending foreclosure cases in our circuit.
Adult Felony Drug Court
The Hernando County Adult Drug Court Program is a court supervised intensive and highly structured program consisting of both comprehensive out-patient treatment and case management supervision for non-violent offenders.
The Hernando Law Library is located in room 35 of the Hernando County Governmental Building located at 20 N. Main St. in Brooksville. WestlawNext Patron Access is a free service of this library.
Mental Health Court
Mental Health Court is a specialized court docket for defendants with mental disabilities that substitutes traditional court processing with a problem-solving model.
Mediation has become very prevalent and very popular in the judicial system within the past few years. It has been very helpful in resolving differences between parties, and in reducing the number of cases going to trial.
Our circuit provides resources for self-represented parties in domestic relations cases. In all counties resources are available online or at the local clerk’s office.
The Teen Court concept is based on the philosophy that youthful offenders will not continue to offend when a jury of their peers punishes them.
The Veterans Court model requires regular court appearances as well as mandatory attendance at treatment sessions and frequent and random testing for substance use (drug and/or alcohol).
