Marion County Diversion Drug Courts:

(Misdemeanor) Pre-plea diversion drug court for non-violent offenders charged with an eligible misdemeanor with admission of a substance use disorder. Defendants are required to participate in substance use treatment, peer support meetings, random and frequent drug screens, and personally appear in court as required. The program is a minimum of six months and if successful the court will dismiss the related charges. Contact: 352-401-8146

(Felony) Pre-plea diversion drug court for non-violent offenders charged with a second- or third-degree felony with admission of a substance use disorder. Defendants are required to participate in substance use treatment, peer support meetings, random and frequent drug screens, and personally appear in court as required. The program is a minimum of twelve months and if successful the court will dismiss the related charges.  Contact: 352-401-8146

Phase Advancement

Advancement through the phases is contingent on participant meeting all treatment and financial obligations.

Program Fees

There is a monthly administrative fee payable by money order or credit card.

  • MDC= One time Application Fee of $25
  • MDC= $10 monthly
  • FDDC= $60 monthly

The MDC program is a minimum of six (6) months.

The FDDC program is a minimum of twelve (12) months.

FDDC applicants must complete the Pre-Admission Period.

All Participants must participate in substance use treatment, attend weekly drug court status hearings, and submit random, frequent drug screens.

Upon successful completion of the program, the related charges are dismissed.

All payments are non-refundable, and payments shall be made by money orders payable to: Marion County BOCC.

Participants will be responsible for all other program related fees.
